Resumen

Diversos factores contribuyen al desarrollo de cicatrices post acné y lesiones epidérmicas mixtas, por lo que es esencial considerar enfoques combinados en lugar de monoterapias para mejorar los resultados. Este estudio de serie de casos con cara dividida evaluó la terapia combinada con láser Er: YAG fraccionado 2940 nm y Nd: YAG de pulso largo 1064 nm en la hemicara derecha, y Er: YAG fraccionado 2940 nm con Nd: YAG micropulsado 1064 nm en la izquierda, en la reducción de cicatrices atróficas post acné tras tres sesiones. Ocho pacientes fueron evaluados mediante la escala cuantitativa global de cicatrices de acné antes, durante y después del tratamiento, con edades de 29 ± 9 años, mayormente mujeres (62,5%) y fototipos IV (37,5%). Se observó una mejora significativa del 59,9% en la hemicara derecha y 59,1% en la izquierda, sin diferencias estadísticas entre protocolos. Ambos tratamientos son seguros y efectivos para reducir progresivamente la severidad de las cicatrices de leves a moderadas
