Abstract

The use of 10,600nm co2 laser in the treatment of cervical lesions due to Human Papilloma Virus has proven to be a useful tool in the remission of such lesions, a case study of 10 patients who attended the consultation at Clínica Vicentina de Especialidades in San Vicente, El Salvador from July to December 2023 was conducted. Who met the inclusion criteria were 18 to 45 years old, cytology positive for Low and High Grade Intraepithelial Lesion and to which a biopsy plus colposcopy was performed prior to the procedure which was performed with Laser Co2 10,600 nm of the Gynex brand at 12W of power in continuous mode for 5 to 8 minutes, performing controls at 8 days and at one month to identify complications evidencing the null complication after procedure and a control at 6 months for cytology and colposcopy,  resulting in a remission in 100% of cases, which concluded that this type of treatment performed with the appropriate parameters has zero negative effects and a verifiable success in all patients included in this study.
