Abstract

Fibroids or uterine leiomyomas are common, benign tumors of the uterus and the female pelvis. It's most often in women of reproductive age (from 25 to 40%) than blacks (80%) and white (50%) which cause symptoms of bleeding and pain in 30% of cases. These tumors are classified in: submucosal (in close relation to the endometrium), intraluminal (in the entire thickness of the myometrium) and mouth (below the uterine serosa with minimal invasion of the myometrium). Submucosal fibroids, are closely related to the endometrium and occasionally emerge through the cervix. For treatment, there are several (hysterectomy, myomectomy), medical and surgical options including expectant management. The doctor must choose the treatment that provides better results for the patient, with minimal risk and cost. In this case, a patient of 46-year-old with a lump of 4x5cm approximately in size, protrude through the cervix, whose pathology is a uterine Leiomyoma accompanied by bleeding genital of moderate amount and moderate pelvic pain. Vaginal myomectomy is performed in doctor's office ablative C02 Laser as a tool for cutting, with good evolution and no complications.
