Abstract

Non-surgical neck rejuvenation is a growing area of interest. For better results, a combined treatment approach and proper patient selection are recommended. This study evaluated the effects of fractional CO2 laser as a non-invasive tool in combined therapies for neck rejuvenation. A systematic review of the past 15 years was conducted across PubMed, Scielo, Lilacs, TripMedicalDatabase, and Dermatology Surgery, including randomized clinical trials in English and Spanish with full-text access. A total of 97,599 articles were analyzed, and a selection flowchart was developed. Among available therapeutic options for neck laxity, CO2 laser + PRP, CO2 laser + radiofrequency, and HIFU + CO2 laser + PRP provided the best results. No major adverse effects were reported, with only transient erythema and edema observed. The HIFU + CO2 laser + PRP combination demonstrated excellent efficacy and safety. Limited information exists on sequential treatment with HIFU and fractional CO2 laser in a single session, but available data suggest results comparable to surgical lifting.
